Job summary

Believe In Me Empowerment in New Haven, CT is seeking an Assistant Program Director to join the Transitional House team. This hands-on leadership role supports the Program Director with oversight, staff supervision, and day-to-day operations to help residents move toward stability.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years in management and at least 1 year supervising staff; CT driver’s license; willingness to work some evenings and weekends; and the ability to coordinate case

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years’ management experience, plus at least 1 year supervising staff.
Education may be substituted with experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience with case management, substance abuse, and community resources preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor subordinates and maintain staff schedules.
Oversee daily program activities and supervise counselors and residential staff.
Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating on-call schedule.
Ensure program models are implemented and evaluate case management notes.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment meetings weekly.
Assist with interviewing, recruitment, and training of staff.
Maintain inventory, logs, and program records.
