Assistant Program Director Summary: Provides assistance to the Program Director in ensuring program oversight, staff supervision, to include case management oversight and day to day operations; on-call for after-hours emergencies and needs; back up contact person for JBCSSD. May transport clients, based on programmatic needs. Must possess a valid driver's license. Expected to work some evenings and weekends. Responsibilities: The Assistant Program Director will be on-call 24 hours a day on a (rotating schedule) in order to respond to emergencies referral source needs. They will also supervise subordinate staff (Counselors, Residential Advisers). Overseeing and supervising the daily program activities. Directly supervises employees. Reports to the PD.
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years’ experience in management and a minimum of 1 year of supervision of staff. Education may be substituted with experience on a year for year basis. Must possess considerable knowledge of case management, substance abuse and community resources. Experience working with offender population in a community/residential program preferred. Experience: Good interpersonal skills, able to deal with a diverse population. Licensure: Must have a valid State of Connecticut driver's license and motor vehicle insurance
