Job summary

  • Experience with at-risk children/adolescents; administrative management and staff supervision.

  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), and Medication Administration (or ability to obtain).

Program Director

Full Time Manchester, CT, US

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Bridge Family Center is currently searching for a full time Program Director for its Transitional Living Program, the Moving on Project (MOP), working with adolescents males in DCF care. The Program Director, with strong input and oversight from the Director of Residential Services, is responsible for the overall coordination, implementation and operation of the program. The Program Director manages the daily operations of the program and interfaces with all appropriate community agencies and families, and is responsible for the overall quality assurance of the program.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Program Management
  • Lead weekly case meetings, house meetings, and monthly staff meetings.
  • Attend other meetings as assigned by the Director of Residential Services.
  • Oversee facility maintenance and upkeep, including donations to MOP.
  • Train all new staff members according to the Training Outline, inclusive of the materials contained in the Participant Handbook and other relevant materials.
  • See that staff trainings/certifications are current, (CPR, TCI, DCF Medication Administration)
  • Maintain a 24/7 schedule of direct service staff to ensure MOP is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Oversee all program components: medication administration, condition of resident files, Life Skills, budget, Life Skills Mock Budget, apartment and house cleanliness, Chapter 1 tutor.
Administrative Duties
  • Hiring, training and supervision of MOP staff.
  • Assign tasks to designated MOP staff, and monitor their performance of these tasks
  • Provide 24-hour, on-call coverage on a rotating basis with the Educational/Vocational Specialist.
  • Assigned reports (Weekly Census, Monthly Log, quarterly MIS, other reports as assigned)
WHAT YOU BRING

Must have a minimum of a Master's degree in Human Services or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years of Residential/Group Home management, particularly working with adolescents in DCF care preferred. Must have prior experience working with at-risk children/adolescents and have experience in administrative management and staff supervision, preferably in a 24/7 residential setting. Must also have a valid CT driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to transport clients. Certificate in (or ability to become certified after hire) CPR/First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), and Medication Administration plus additional trainings.
