Job description

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Neonatology & Newborn Services in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics or Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities
  1. Teaching: Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, including formal lectures within the department.
  2. Clinical: Providing consultations for high-risk neonatology and maternal and fetal conditions, as well as prenatal genetic diagnosis.
  3. Research/Scholarship: Demonstrating intellectual independence through a body of work, co-supervision of postdoctoral fellows, students, and research staff, coordinating NIH-funded grant efforts with collaborators, participating in grant writing, reports, and manuscripts, and maintaining a publication record in neonatology, developmental, or molecular medicine.
