Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to direct and coordinate production in the absence of the Production Manager, and to support the manager when on site.

The role requires a one-year certificate or 3–6 months related experience; candidates must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to lead a large team under tight deadlines to improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school.
• 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Flexible to meet deadlines and high-pressure conditions.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate production activities personally or through subordinate supervisors.
• Provide on-the-job guidance and training to foreman.
• Enforce safety policies with foremen and production employees.
• Coordinate personnel management with Human Resources.
• Coordinate production with procurement, maintenance, and quality control.
• Review production and quality reports to identify root causes of issues.
• Develop and implement methods to eliminate problems and improve quality.
• Revise schedules and priorities due to equipment or operation issues.
