Job summary

Champion Home Builders seeks an Assistant Production Manager to direct production in the absence of the Production Manager and to support the on-site leadership when the manager is present. You will supervise Foremen, enforce safety, and coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resources and product quality.

Qualified candidates bring at least 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing and a 1-year technical college certificate, with an ability to lead

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
One-year certificate from college or technical school.
Equivalent education/experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

Directs production in absence of Production Manager.
Provides on the job guidance and training to Foreman.
Enforces safety policies with Foremen and production employees.
Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control.
Reviews production and quality reports to identify nonconformities.
Develops and implements operating methods to improve quality.
Revises production schedules due to equipment failures or problems.
Consults with engineering to modify machines for quality improvements.
