Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Mansfield, Texas is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to direct and coordinate production in the absence of the Production Manager.

The role reports to site leadership and requires strong leadership of a large team to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of manufactured homes. The position emphasizes training Foremen, enforcing safety policies, and coordinating with HR, procurement, maintenance, and QA to optimize resources and production flow.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent.
• Experience leading a large team is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provides on the job guidance and training to Foreman.
• Enforces safety policies with Foremen and production employees.
• Coordinates personnel management with Human Resources department.
• Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resources.
• Reviews production, quality control, maintenance, and operations reports to identify nonconformities.
• Develops and implements methods to improve production and quality.
• Revises production schedules and priorities after equipment issues.
• Consults with engineering on machine/equipment modifications to improve production.
