Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Leesville, LA is hiring an Assistant Production Manager to direct and coordinate production in the absence of the Production Manager.

You will support the manager on site and ensure safety, efficiency, and quality across interior trim, final finish, and chassis areas. You will guide Foremen, enforce safety policies, and collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resources.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a large team under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates production in the absence of the Production Manager.
• Provide on-the-job training to Foreman.
• Enforce safety policies with Foremen and production employees.
• Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control.
• Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
• Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
• Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
• Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
• Primarily focus on Interior Trim, Final Finish and Chassis which are located in buildings B & C of a 3 building operation facility.
