Our new Columbus facility reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence — featuring a modern production line capable of producing over 8,000 buns per hour. We are also scheduled to begin producing pancakes in August, further broadening our product capabilities. Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range:$75,000-$85,000

Position Summary
The Assistant Night Shift Production Manager supports overall production operations during the night shift, helping to lead, coach, and coordinate frontline teams. This role ensures that safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met while driving a positive and productive work culture. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, and is passionate about continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Night Shift Production Manager with oversight of nightly production schedules and line performance
- Provide hands-on leadership to production line leads, machine operators, and team members across multiple areas
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety policies, and sanitation standards
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including downtime, yields, and labor utilization
- Support timely troubleshooting of equipment or process issues in coordination with maintenance and sanitation teams
- Lead pre-shift meetings, communicate production goals, and support cross-functional collaboration
- Contribute to employee training, shift handoffs, and performance feedback as needed
- Act as a point of contact in the absence of the Night Shift Production Manager
- Assist in ensuring documentation and production records are completed accurately
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and high-accountability team environment
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or production supervisory role; bakery experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and production standards in a regulated facility
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage priorities in a high-speed environment
- Effective communicator who can adapt to a diverse workforce
- Experience with shift reports, documentation, and troubleshooting basics
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary or technical training preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Fast-paced production and warehouse setting
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, and work in warm and cool environments for extended periods
- Night shift schedule required, with potential overtime or weekend coverage as needed
