The Assistant Production Manager II supports planning, organizing, and executing special projects, assists leadership across departments, and ensures effective production during staff absences to meet delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead production teams to ensure efficiency, adherence to processes, and resolution of bottlenecks.
  2. Serve as backup for all department Leads, including Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, Finishing, Pit Crew, and Pressroom, during planned PTO.
  3. Lead projects supporting core functions, addressing process variances, and improving metrics and financial outcomes.
  4. Maintain strong communication with internal customers such as Procurement, Job Planning, Customer Service, Sales, and Operational Excellence.
  5. Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in flexographic print production.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team motivation skills.
  • Results-oriented decision-making skills.
  • Effective project management with multitasking abilities.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Prompt responsiveness to internal and external inquiries.
  • Knowledge of ISO/BRC standards and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years in flexographic print manufacturing with a large team.
  • Flexibility to work as needed.
  • Preferred: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO/BRC standards.
  • Preferred: Degree in Business Management or Administration.
