Job summary

Hampstead Preschool of the Arts is seeking an Assistant Teacher for the Preschool age group. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with a pay range of $15–$17 per hour based on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in alignment with the center's philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities that support growth in emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Accept feedback and make improvements to enhance program quality.
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children.
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Demonstrate the physical ability to work around young children and lift up to 40 lbs.

for the following age groups:

• Preschool

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience or CDA or higher!

Required Shift:

Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

Compensation:

$15-17/hr; based on education and experience

• Take direction, accept constructive criticism,and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.

• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family toprovidequality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
