Play and Learn Child Development Center in Thomaston is seeking Assistant Teachers for the school-age program. The role supports the lead teacher and helps create a safe, engaging classroom environment after-school hours.

Play and Learn Child Development Center in Thomaston is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers!

Age group: School Age

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks and have previous childcare experience.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, afternoons

Compensation: $16.94-$17.00/hr., based on education and experience

• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.


• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.


• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.


• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
