Job summary

Equinox Hotels in New York City seeks an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee PM shift operations, ensuring top-tier cleanliness and brand standards across back and front of house.

You will coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, and In Room Dining; supervise attendants and Valet teams; conduct pre-shift meetings and manage payroll, inventory and scheduling. Must have 3–5 years in luxury NYC hotels and NYC union experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Three to five years in luxury NYC hotels.
• NYC union experience required.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
• Guest relations training preferred.
• Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and supervision ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day PM housekeeping operations.
• Coordinate with Front Office, In Room Dining and Engineering.
• Supervise staff development for Housekeeping and Valet.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are safe and secure.
• Inspect public areas and accommodations.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings and operations meetings.
• Assign and monitor deep cleaning and other tasks.
• Manage VIPs and special requests.
• Handle payroll, inventory, purchasing, scheduling.
• Train and re-train staff to standards.
• Align with Forbes Evening Service Standards.
• Drive productivity to meet credits targets.
• Prepare rooms for the next day.
