Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for heavy civil highway and utility projects across Virginia. Relocation assistance is available and candidates from anywhere willing to relocate are welcome.

You will work with a senior PM on roadway projects, primarily VDOT, to develop leadership toward running your own projects. Requirements include 3+ years in heavy civil/DOT work, a civil engineering or construction management degree, and familiarity with scheduling and cost

Qualifications

• 3+ years on heavy civil, highway or utility projects
• VDOT or other DOT project experience preferred
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field experience

Responsibilities

• Drive submittals, RFIs and procurement so field crews stay ahead of the work
• Coordinate subcontractors and supplier purchase orders
• Track quantities, production and cost against budget
• Prepare monthly pay applications and cost projections
• Support schedule updates and change management
• Work with VDOT inspectors and owner representatives
• Keep project documentation clean and current
• Take part in weekly schedule and cost reviews with the project team
• Support a strong jobsite safety culture
