Job summary

Saint-Gobain, in Chicago, seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to oversee personnel, equipment, and safe, efficient plant operation in a union environment. You will lead operational excellence initiatives, drive process improvements, and champion customer service improvements across Admix-related initiatives.

You will manage 5S events, cross-training, and provide leadership for the 2nd shift to ensure safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience in a relevant field.
• Experience in a fast-paced union manufacturing environment.
• Strong aptitude for basic math and attention to detail in sequential work.
• Basic understanding of computers and user skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word; Internet.
• Fluent English language.
