Job summary

Capital City Club – Brookhaven's Culinary Department is seeking an Assistant Pastry Chef for a full-time role. You will assist the Pastry Chef to maintain quality output from the pastry department and support high-volume production in a private club setting.

The ideal candidate has 2 years pastry experience, loves plated desserts and bread production, and can lift 50 lbs. The club offers insurance (health, vision, life, dental), a 401(k) with company match, hot meals, free parking, and uniforms.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum pastry experience.
• Experience in a high-volume, fine-dining environment.
• Experience in a hotel and/or private club setting.
• Plated desserts and bread production experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pastry station.
• Assist in production of pastry items and mise en place.
• Maintain quality of desserts for pantry line.
• Assist with banquet functions and plating.
• Collaborate with other departments and follow chef directions.
• Suggest new pastry concepts for the Capital City Club menu.
• Report maintenance or supply needs to the pastry chef.
