Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Willingness to learn equipment operations and safety procedures.
  • H2S certification is preferred.
  • Oilfield, industrial, construction, or mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with operating mixing plants safely and efficiently.
  • Help measure and pour chemicals according to specifications.
  • Support sweep viscosity monitoring and shipping procedures.
  • Assist with rigging up and rigging down pumps and pods.
  • Help change pod socks and gaskets as needed.
  • Learn equipment processes and operational procedures from senior operators.
  • Wash tanks and equipment, inspect readiness, and maintain inventory.
  • Support preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
  • Assist with daily job activities and communicate professionally with coworkers.
  • Be prepared for after-hours or on-call support as needed.

Looking to start or grow your career in oilfield operations? As anAssistant Operator - Rentals, you'll work alongside experienced operators to support mixing plant operations, maintain equipment, manage inventory, and help keep jobs running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position that provides valuable experience with equipment, chemicals, field operations, and safety procedures while offering opportunities for advancement within CNC Oilfield Services.

What You'll Do
Learn the Operation
  • Assist with operating mixing plants safely and efficiently
  • Help measure and pour chemicals according to specifications
  • Support sweep viscosity monitoring and shipping procedures
  • Assist with rigging up and rigging down pumps and pods
  • Help change pod socks and gaskets as needed
  • Learn equipment processes and operational procedures from senior operators
Keep Equipment Ready
  • Wash tanks and equipment inside and out to company standards
  • Assist with equipment inspections and readiness checks
  • Help maintain rental inventory and chemical stock levels
  • Support preventive maintenance activities
  • Identify and report equipment issues or maintenance needs
  • Keep equipment clean, organized, and job-ready
Safety Starts with You
  • Follow all CNC operating policies and safety procedures
  • Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and training
  • Maintain required certifications and safety credentials
  • Report unsafe conditions and support a culture of safety
  • Learn proper accident and emergency response procedures

Support the Team
  • Assist operators and field personnel with daily job activities
  • Communicate professionally with coworkers and customers
  • Help process job requests and prepare equipment for deployment
  • Support multiple divisions as operational needs require
  • Be willing to respond to after-hours or on-call support when needed
  • Represent CNC in a professional and positive manner

Qualifications
Required

No two days are the same in this role. You'll work:

  • Outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Around industrial equipment, chemicals, and machinery
  • In a fast-paced environment supporting field operations
  • At shop locations, yards, and customer job sites
  • Occasionally on nights, weekends, or holidays as business needs require
Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Lift, carry, and move equipment and materials
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, and work for extended periods
  • Operate hand tools and equipment safely
  • Read labels, gauges, and safety information
  • Work in confined spaces when necessary
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and safety hazards
