Job summary

Triple-S Steel in Irondale, CO is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support the Operations Manager in safe receipt, storage, and timely delivery of materials while meeting quality and safety standards.

You will supervise distribution, manage budgets, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement, coordinating with sales and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient branch operations.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in distribution/production.
• Three (3) years of experience in management/supervisory position.
• Knowledge of industrial engineering, HR laws and regulations, and employee relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages all plant distribution efforts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Maintains standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance; recommends new equipment and improvements.
• Develops, monitors, and reports operating costs; alerts management to cost overruns; implements solutions.
• Ensures orders meet specifications and quality standards; develops and enforces quality processes.
• Advises supervisors on labor, safety, scheduling, training; ensures adherence to company policy.
• Manages budget and controls expenses; hires, trains, and develops staff; liaises with HR.
• Keeps up-to-date on information affecting operations to drive continuous improvement.
• Provides leadership as a key site leader and sets department goals for productivity.
