Job summary

Millcraft is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to lead DC shift activities and drive efficient inventory flow. You will supervise daily tasks, support staff development, and ensure safety compliance in a fast-paced distribution center.

You’ll collaborate with Customer Service and Detroit Ops, participate in performance reviews, and help recruit and coach team members to improve productivity while maintaining a safe, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Technically oriented with daily MS Office use.
• Effective time management and the ability to motivate others.
• Ability to multi-task in a lean operation.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of followership and team influence.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Committed to safety and wellness in the workplace.
• Minimal travel required.
• Lift up to 70 lbs and perform manual tasks as needed.
• Associates degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of DC operations to improve flow of inventory.
• Oversee Night Hawk prep for timely departures and proper weight.
• Run cycle counts to keep DC current.
• Prepare and fill orders for next-day deliveries.
• Lead changes and foster a learning culture for procedures.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Detroit Ops emails.
• Support recruiting, training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Ensure operations meet productivity and safety targets.
• Provide feedback for retention and performance.
• Collaborate on staffing and productivity to stay cost-effective.
• Coordinate with other divisions to ensure correct product placement.
