Position Summary: The Assistant Dental Office Manager is a friendly, well-organized, growth-oriented multi-tasker who can positively motivate a dental team of Doctors, Hygienists, Front Office, and Ortho Assistants. Under limited supervision, the Assistant Manager works with the Ortho Dental Office Manager to ensure the successful operation of the dental office as a business unit. This includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with guidelines from the state and corporate office, maximizing revenue, and providing excellent patient service.

Skills & Abilities: High School diploma or GED required. Over 1 year of management or dental office experience. Certification through Scheduling Institute within 30 days if not already certified. Knowledge of dental software (Eaglesoft preferred), Microsoft Office (preferred). Excellent communication and customer service skills, proficiency in patient and insurance accounts receivable or treatment planning. Professional appearance and conduct. Availability Tuesday-Saturday. Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and pass Motor Vehicle Record check if operating company vehicles or personal vehicle for company business. Knowledge of CDT Codes and passing the bi-annual CDT test required.
Position Qualifications: Customer-oriented, organized, friendly, with leadership and motivation skills. Honest, communicative, self-motivated, decisive, responsible, and able to solve problems. Capable of delegating, training, presenting, thinking abstractly, resolving conflicts, actively listening, and working under pressure. Good time management and team-building skills. Safety awareness and accountability are essential.
