Job summary

MediLodge of Cheboygan is seeking an Assistant Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to assist with daily facility operations and ensure compliant, high‑quality resident care. You will work with the facility administrator to support planning, staffing, and financial performance.

The role requires leadership in clinical, administrative and service departments, with emphasis on regulatory compliance, census development, and continuous quality improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• BS in health care administration, business administration, finance, a clinical specialty, or equivalent long term care experience.
• RN licensed or eligible for reciprocity as NHA; meets criteria for AIT with desire to elevate to NHA.
• Two years’ experience as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in a long-term care facility or completion of an AIT program, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads planning process to develop goals for quality care, employee retention and financial performance.
• Directs hiring and training of personnel to ensure orientation and ongoing training to meet quality goals.
• Directs and guides activities of clinical, administrative and service departments.
• Implements control systems to ensure accountability of all departments.
• Represents facility at community meetings and promotes programs through various news media.
• Monitors performance for achievement of goals and for improvement, and takes corrective action when necessary.
