Job summary

MediLodge of Gaylord is seeking a seasoned Nursing Home Administrator to oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal rules, and deliver high-quality resident care. You will lead a large team, manage budgets, and drive performance improvement in a patient-centered facility.

The role requires a BS in a relevant field, LNHA licensure or reciprocity eligibility, and at least two years of LNHA experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Two years’ LNHA experience in long-term care or completion of an AIT program.
• Deep knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare regulations and cost reporting.
• Ability to lead a large staff and coordinate diverse teams.
• Strong communication with residents, families and all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning to set goals for quality care, staff retention, and finances.
• Direct hiring and training to ensure ongoing orientation and skill development.
• Prepare annual budgets for Regional Management approval.
• Oversee clinical, administrative and service departments.
• Implement controls for accountability across departments.
• Represent facility at community meetings and promote programs via media.
• Monitor performance, drive improvements, and take corrective actions.

Summary

The Nursing Home Administrator manages the day-to-day operations of the facility to ensure efficient and profitable operation, facility compliance with company policies and State and Federal rules and regulations, and providing the highest quality of care possible.

Education

• BS in health care administration, business administration, finance, a clinical specialty or equivalent long term care experience.

Licenses/Certification

• Licensed by the state or eligible for reciprocity.

Experience

• Two years’ experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in a long-term care facility or completion of an AIT program.

Job Functions

• Leads planning process to develop goals for quality care, employee retention, and financial performance.
• Directs the hiring and training of personnel to ensures all employees receive orientation and ongoing training to meet the quality goals of the organization.
• Prepares annual budgets for approval by Regional Management.
• Directs and guides the activities of clinical, administrative and service departments.
• Implements control systems to ensure accountability of all departments.
• Represents facility at community meetings and promotes programs through various news media.
• Monitors performance for achievement of goals and for improvement, and takes corrective action when necessary.
• Responsible for census development/marketing
• Serves as the facility’s Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinator.
• Acts as chairperson of the facility's Performance Improvement Committee.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Knowledge of Long Term Care and Medicaid and Medicare regulations and standards.
