Job summary

Doctors Community seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient and high-quality care for residents in a long-term care setting.

The role requires RN licensure, 3+ years clinical experience with at least 2 years in supervision, MDS knowledge, and willingness to be on-call. Candidates should be prepared to help manage budgets and mentor staff, elevating patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an active RN license.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time clinical experience; at least 2 years in long-term care supervision.
• Knowledge of the MDS process and state/federal regulations; on-call required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical operational liaison between nursing units and the Director of Nursing.
• Responsible for the quality of the clinical operations of the nursing units including compliance with policies, practice standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, allocate and control the budget for the nursing department.
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement and mentor staff to achieve top-of-license practice.
• Assist with nurse staffing to include performance evaluations, interviews and orientation.
