Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our correctional care team in Ohio. You will plan, coordinate and evaluate unit activities to ensure quality and cost-efficient patient care, while adhering to MetroHealth standards.

Collaborative work with nurse managers and behavioral health leads will support addiction medicine initiatives and patient services. Required BSN, Ohio RN license, BLS, and 3+ years nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• At least 3 years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication and delegation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit activities impacting patient care delivery in cooperation with the nurse manager.
• Hold self and staff accountable for identification, evaluation, documentation and intervention of patient needs.
• Support addiction medicine and behavioral health unit operations, including practice and financial management.
• Uphold the mission, vision, values and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
