Job summary

U-Haul in Glendale, AZ is seeking a General Manager-level candidate to run daily operations in the absence of the GM and to allocate resources across projects. You will lead and assign staff to ensure customers receive outstanding first impressions and care while performing hitch installations and related duties.

Ongoing U-Haul education via U-Haul University is part of the role, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be part of a couple's team to co-manage this storage center.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Leadership and customer service experience required.
• Ability to work varied shifts and follow safety precautions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record


• Leadership experience in any form


• Customer service experience


• Ability to work a variety of shifts


• Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals with required safety precautions


• Ability to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields when required


• Ability to remain stationary and traverse indoor and outdoor spaces for long periods


• Ability to reposition to reach and use tools


• Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted


• U-Haul will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products in specified states, including Arizona
