Job summary

Jobtailor in Mississippi is seeking a motivated customer service associate to assist customers within a U-Haul center and at pick-up/drop-off locations with U-Haul products and services.

You will use U-Scan technology to manage rentals, move and hook up trucks, inspect equipment, fill propane, install hitches, and provide safety information, while contributing to clean, organized lots and accurate rental invoicing.

Qualifications

• Requires strong customer service skills and ability to explain products and services.
• Must be able to operate and learn use of U-Scan technology for rentals and inventory management.
• Forklift operation may be required; training provided as part of role.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.

• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.

• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals


• Ability to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields when required


• Ability to remain stationary for long periods and move around indoors and outdoors


• Ability to position oneself to reach objects at varying heights


• Ability to move equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted


• U-Haul will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products in applicable states, including Mississippi if applicable
