Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead store operations, coach leaders and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. You will partner with the GM/AGM to execute store strategy, drive profitable sales and manage merchandising, customer service and talent development.

You will recruit and develop Brand Associates and Experts, monitor performance metrics, and ensure compliance and brand standards while fostering community involvement and a positive work culture.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication with customers and team to reach goals.
• Passionate about retail and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support strategies to drive store sales and deliver results with a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own assigned area of responsibility within the store.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties and ensure SOPs are consistently followed.
• Represent the brand and understand the retail landscape and competition.
