Job summary

Gap is seeking an Assistant Manager to set the tone for the store and lead the team in delivering a best-in-class customer experience. You will drive profitable sales growth through customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development, while collaborating with the General Manager to execute store strategy.

The role requires 1-3 years of retail management, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach/mentor.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, overnight and weekends.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support strategies to drive store sales with a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associates and Experts.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties.
• Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
• Represent the brand and monitor competition and retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement.
• Leverage omni-channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensure all compliance standards are met.
