Job summary

Kj’s Market in Thomson, GA is seeking a Meat/Seafood Department Supervisor to greet guests, drive sales, manage inventory and labor, and maintain quality and safety standards. You will lead a team, train associates, and ensure excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining freshness, proper stocking, and adherence to safety guidelines while achieving department profitability. This is a full-time, on-site role at Kj’s Market.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and selling skills with an outgoing personality.
• Able to work well with others and engage customers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
• Ability to supervise staff, including training and development.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and basic computer use.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work in a cold environment.
• Able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests politely and creates a selling environment in the meat/seafood department.
• Achieves budgeted sales, maintains inventory, and manages shrink and gross profit for the department.
• Keeps products fresh and in-date, ensuring proper stocking and shopping conditions.
• Operates department per merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in meat/seafood prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Provides guidance, orientation, and training to department staff to ensure performance.
• Performs product prep, receiving, stocking, and guest service as needed to meet standards.
• Manages labor budget and schedules hours to maximize sales and guest service.
• Fulfills other duties assigned by management.

Responsibilities

1. 1. Ensures all guest receive polite, friendly greetings and interactions from the Beef Shoppe staff. Creates a selling environment through the use of selling skills.
2. 2. Achieves budgeted sales, supply/wrap, shrink and gross profits for the meat and seafood departments.
3. 3. Maintains desired level of inventory and supplies for the meat and seafood departments. Ensures in stock conditions through proper ordering.
4. 4. Operates the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
5. 5. Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
6. 6. Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
7. 7. Provides guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to the meat/seafood department staff to ensure meat hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
8. 8. Performs product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
9. 9. Maintains the department's labor budget and ensures that optimal hours are scheduled for the department to maximize sales and guest service.
10. 10. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
