Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Urbandale, Iowa is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to support the Meat Manager in ensuring product is available for sale and maintained with strict freshness according to HACCP guidelines.

You will develop team skills, manage inventory, assist with hiring and scheduling, uphold safety standards, and deliver friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced wholesale environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop and train team members, build relationships
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service
• Ability to manage warehouse operations effectively and efficiently
• Ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
• Experience in warehouse, retail and/or customer service a plus

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a safe working/shopping environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service with sincerity, patience, and respect.
• Effectively communicate with customers and respond to questions promptly.
• Operate equipment (box cutter, knives, scales, etc.) per OSHA guidelines.
• Follow HACCP procedures and maintain the "Always Fresh" mentality.
• Assist with product presentation, rotation, labeling and replenishment.
• Maintain in-stock position and monitor inventory via cycle counts.
• Gain knowledge of warehouse equipment and improve operational execution.
• Ensure adherence to Department SOPs and corporate audits.
• Use selling skills to boost sales and suggestive selling techniques.
