Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Urbandale, IA is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to support the Produce Manager in keeping products fresh, properly displayed, and available for sale. You will help drive sales, minimize losses, and maintain high safety standards in a busy warehouse environment.

The role requires strong teamwork, leadership, and customer service skills, with responsibilities including inventory checks, product presentation, and adherence to HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop and train team members, build relationships, and utilize skills of team members effectively.
• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a helpful, respectful attitude in all interactions.
• Manage warehouse operations efficiently, ensuring accuracy and productivity.
• Communicate clearly and listen attentively to teammates and customers.
• Operate essential equipment (scanners, scales, etc.) according to safety guidelines.
• Adapt to a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy and safety.
• Assist with scheduling, hiring, and overall department coordination.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant, safe working and shopping environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by demonstrating sincerity, patience, and respect in all customer interactions.
• Effectively communicate with customers and respond to questions and requests in a timely manner.
• Operate equipment according to company and OSHA guidelines.
• Follow HACCP policy and maintain our Always Fresh mentality.
• Assist with product presentation, rotation, labeling and replenishment.
• Ensure in-stock position and monitor inventory through cycle counts.
• Maintain knowledge of warehouse equipment and operational procedures.
• Use selling skills to increase sales and reduce shrink.
