Scotbilt Homes, a division of Champion Home Builders, Inc., seeks an Assistant Materials Manager to join the Purchasing Team. This full-time role ensures the Production Team has timely access to materials needed to build homes.

The position requires experience in materials management, inventory control, and coordination with suppliers. It offers a clear path to leadership within a growing manufacturing organization based in Millen, GA.

Qualifications

• Experience in the materials department and purchasing workflows.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and forecasting/budgeting.
• Proven ability to supervise and coordinate storeroom/central supply staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and control purchasing and distribution activities to meet production needs.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and change notices ensuring policy conformance.
• Interface with corporate purchasing on supplier issues and monitor supplier quality.
