Job summary

Shoe Sensation, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team in a role that blends selling footwear with leading a sales staff. This position focuses on growing the team, training associates, and delivering strong customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Associate Manager will help recruit, hire, and coach the sales team, manage daily store operations, and ensure deposits are handled securely. We value internal promotion and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and have transportation to take deposits to the bank.
• Desire to teach others how to sell and learn how to be a people manager.
• Willing to open/close the store, knowing there may be times you are alone in the store.
• Willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Able to lift 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide them through shopping experiences.
• Sell shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers.
• Ring up sales, take payments, and apply discounts.
• Help restock the sales floor.
• Keep store neat and clean.
• Assist Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, and training the sales team.
• Assist with coaching and discipline of the sales team.
• Lead the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposits and make bank deposits.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as shipments arrive.
