Job summary

Shoe Sensation, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. This role combines selling shoes and leading the store sales team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

You will support the Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and managing the sales staff, while ensuring deposits are handled properly and the sales floor is stocked and orderly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and have personal transportation to take deposits to the bank.
• Willing to teach others how to sell and learn how to be a people manager.
• Willing to open/close the store, knowing that there may be times that you are alone in the store.
• Willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Can kneel, twist, bend, climb a ladder, reach, stoop and lift 25-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide them through their shopping experience.
• Sell shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers.
• Ring up sales in computer, handle cash/credit cards/discounts.
• Help re-stock the sales floor.
• Keep the store neat and clean.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training the store sales team.
• Assist with coaching and discipline of the store sales team.
• Lead the rest of the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposits and make deposits at the bank.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as it arrives.
