AHRC Nassau in New York is seeking a Direct Support Professional Supervisor to support individuals in daily activities, coordinate staffing, and ensure a high quality of life. You will supervise DSPs, train new staff, manage schedules, and maintain documentation with attention to budgets and transportation needs.

The role requires AMAP certification, a NYS driver’s license, and strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with nurses, physicians, and program staff.

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Valid NYS Driver's License maintained throughout employment.
• One year experience working with the developmentally disabled.
• AMAP certified required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills as well as good organizational and administrative skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises and trains Direct Support Professionals to support individuals in daily living.
• Assists with training of new employees to ensure adequate staffing.
• Maintains weekly staff schedules, assigns shifts based on resident needs.
• Keeps records on staff attendance, performance, and training needs.
• Verifies documentation of treatment plans and daily records.
• Assists with resident financial tasks and budget reviews.
• Arranges transportation for medical appointments and coordinates with providers.
• Discusses health status with RN, physicians, and pharmacies as needed.
• Communicates with day program to coordinate services and maintain contact.
• Oversees housekeeping and safety in residents' living spaces.
• Performs DSP duties as needed and other related tasks.
