SONIC Drive-In in Texas is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations, staff training, and delivering quality food in a clean, safe environment. You’ll lead team members, manage shifts and uphold SONIC standards to ensure a superb guest experience.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, communication, and the ability to manage inventory and costs while fostering a guest-focused atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience or one year of entry-level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy; multi-task and solve problems.
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards
• Adheres to and monitors employee compliance with the handbook, policies and practices
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
• Monitors and adjusts staffing, inventory and food cost control
• Completes weekly inventory as needed
• Assists in administrative duties including maintaining files, records and documentation
• Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures employees focus on serving the customer
• Responds promptly to guest requests and assists in resolving complaints
