Job summary

Jockey is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager for the Ellenton, FL location. As Manager on Duty (MOD), you will provide leadership in sales, profitability, merchandising, selling and customer service.

You will recruit, select, train and coach a team of qualified store associates, develop talent, review key performance metrics with staff, and ensure visual standards, security, cycle counts and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience (1–3 years in a retail setting).
• Strong selling experience with ability to meet/exceed standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to attract, develop and retain talent.
• Flexibility to work opening/closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Strong working knowledge of POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team and drive profitability and guest satisfaction.
• Establish positive relationships with coworkers and guests to ensure productivity.
• Coach and develop staff to build a high-performance team.
• Review KPIs with staff to improve service and sales performance.
• Maintain visual standards, inventory control, and policy compliance.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and cash handling.
