Job summary

Jockey is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager to join our Hilton Head, SC location. As an Assistant Manager while working as the Manager on Duty (MOD), you will provide leadership and direction in areas of key business metrics, sales and profitability, merchandising, selling and customer service, recruiting, selecting, training, coaching and developing people.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in a retail setting.
• Strong sales ability with a record of meeting/exceeding targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership reflecting Jockey’s values and culture.
• Establish positive relationships with coworkers and guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Lead and maintain accountability in guest service through training and communication.
• Assist in recruiting, selecting and training qualified store associates.
• Support onboarding, training and development of new hires.
• Lead and inspire the store team with coaching for high performance.
• Review KPIs with staff to drive profitability and service.
• Maintain store standards, visuals, security, and policies.
• Assist with merchandising, stock, markdowns, and visuals.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and sales transactions.
• Protect cash, inventory, and assets per policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
