Job summary

Ben & Jerry's Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead day-to-day shop operations on the floor, coaching scoopers and shift leads to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will model friendly service, manage cash, inventory, and scheduling, and train teammates to grow their skills and confidence.

This hands-on role offers a clear growth path toward Shop Manager, with opportunities to lead events and promotions in the local community while maintaining high standards of quality

Qualifications

Leadership or supervisory experience in food service or retail.
Clear, respectful communication under pressure.
Reliability and ownership of results, from guest satisfaction to team performance.
Strong drive to grow and take on more responsibility.

Responsibilities

Lead and support scoopers and shift leads on busy rushes and slower periods.
Oversee daily shop operations, including cash handling, inventory, scheduling, opening/closing procedures.
Set high standards for guest service on every shift.
Train and develop team members to build skills and teamwork.
Represent the shop in the community and step in to run the shop when the Shop Manager is out.
