Job summary

J.Crew Group (JCG) in Nashville is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the store leadership team. You’ll drive profitability through meaningful customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement, with coaching to the sales team.

You will collaborate with the Store Director and Associate Store Manager to optimize operations, hiring, training, and development, while delivering best-in-class service and fashion expertise to guests.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience.
• Passion for our brand, customers and teams.
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility and courtesy in tasks.
• Innovate and solve problems while navigating uncertainty.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results with brand connection.
• Own division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Partner to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to elevate customer connection.
• Engage the community and build loyalty through events.
