Job summary

J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our leadership team in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement while coaching the sales team to peak performance.

You’ll collaborate with the Store Director and Associate Store Manager to recruit, train, and develop staff, oversee operations and merchandising, and ensure best-in-class service.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail management experience.
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Schedule flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to bend, reach, lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results and profitability.
• Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology while ensuring accountability.
• Assist Store Director & Associate Store Manager with recruiting, training and development.
• Collaborate to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and provides best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to boost authentic customer connection.
• Develop community engagement and loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor when needed.
