Job summary

Ballast Wax – European Wax Center is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Pittsburgh location. You will lead from the floor, coach the team, own the guest experience, drive sales, and step in as the leader-on-duty when needed.

This role offers growth into Center Manager and beyond, with structured onboarding and ongoing training. Compensation includes a $16.00/hr base, monthly bonuses, and benefits, plus opportunities to advance within the Ballast Wax family.

Qualifications

2+ years in a guest-facing role (beauty, spa, retail or hospitality)
Demonstrated leadership experience, formal or informal
Able to educate on products/services, not hard-sell
Able to coach others with empathy and hold standards high
Passion for beauty and wellness and desire to build a career in it
Evenings/weekends availability; flexible weekday hours

Responsibilities

Set the tone for every guest interaction with warmth and professionalism
Lead by example to educate guests on Wax Passes, products, and services; hit KPIs
Coach and onboard staff; maintain a welcoming on-floor environment
Own opening/closing procedures and ensure clean, accurate POS and guest profiles
