Job summary

Sizzling Platter LLC in Mountain House, CA is hiring an Assistant Manager to support daily restaurant operations and lead a team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This hourly, non-exempt role requires strong leadership and a hands-on approach to both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

You will coach crew members, assist with hiring and onboarding, and ensure food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.

Qualifications

• Proven restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and coaching abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and direct team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to Crew Members and Shift Leads.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and promptly resolve concerns.
• Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding new team members.
• Ensure food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are met.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock management.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Step into front-of-house or back-of-house roles as needed to support the team.
• Drive team performance, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
