Job summary

The Escape Game in Honolulu, HI is seeking an Assistant Manager in Training to support the GM, drive guest service excellence, and uphold The Escape Game standards.

You will coach team members, manage daily operations, handle cash, and ensure schedules meet business needs, including weekend and night shifts. This role offers hands-on training in a fast-paced hospitality environment and opportunities to grow within the company, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or guest services preferred.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the GM with daily operations and guest flow.
• Coach and develop team members to uphold TEG standards and service quality.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy and administrative tasks at a supervisory level.
• Support scheduling, opening/closing tasks, and inventory controls.

THE ROLE:

Assistant Managers in training serve and support their GM by executing their initiatives, championing TEG’s values, and coaching my team to uphold TEG standards through continuous, gracious pressure. They are a humble, teachable trainee who is eager to learn from and apply feedback from their GM and Region Leader.

REQUIREMENTS

• Required to work at least 2 weekend shifts and 2 night shifts per week unless requested off in writing through email and TEG’s timekeeping software at least two weeks in advance.
• Flexible availability. This role often works nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Must be able to handle physical activity as it relates to the job, such as deep cleaning, painting, standing, crawling, bending, lifting 30-40 lbs, and minor game repairs.
• Align with TEG’s Uniform Standards.
