Job summary

Planet Fitness in Montpelier, VT is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to support club operations and drive a exceptional member experience in our Judgement Free Zone. You will lead team members, onboard and train staff, manage inventory, and assist in hiring while ensuring safety and cleanliness across the club.

Daily duties include member engagement, problem resolution, sign-ups, tours, and retail transactions, with emphasis on delivering consistent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service environment preferred.
• Experience supervising and leading a team preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to become CPR/AED certified.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members to complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Model behaviors to provide an outstanding member experience; coach and inspire others.
• Assist in resolving employee concerns.
• Provide backup staffing support as needed.
• Manage inventory system for cleaning supplies.
• Order club supplies and retail products.
• Track KPI to identify strengths and opportunities; strategize with club manager.
• Support Club Manager with hiring and onboarding new team members.
• Assess and assist in emergency situations.
• Greet members/guests and assist with questions during check-in.
• Promote Judgement Free Zone by engaging with members on the club floor.
• Resolve member concerns and escalate when needed.
• Answer phones and assist callers.
• Manage memberships including sign-ups and updates.
• Conduct tours and assess member needs.
• Execute retail transactions and drive sales goals.
• Regular cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and facilities.
• Maintain restrooms and common areas according to schedule.
• Address maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly.
