Job summary

World Market is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a fast-paced team and drive sales while upholding our values and standards. You will partner with the Store Manager to develop staff, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and ensure daily operations run smoothly.

You will analyze trends, coach associates, and maintain brand integrity, with responsibilities across customer experience, operations, and merchandising. A flexible schedule and physical requirements apply in-store.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Able to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performance team in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Drive a customer-first selling culture and train staff.
• Analyze business trends and use reporting to address opportunities.
• Maintain brand values, policies, and operational standards.
• Plan daily tasks and cover in the Store Manager's absence.
• Recruit and retain a customer-focused team through training and recognition.
• Enforce loss prevention policies and inventory controls.
• Maintain a safe work environment with ongoing safety training.
