Job summary

GPM Investments, LLC’s E-Z Mart store in Oil City, LA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations and drive store performance. The role requires weekend/holiday availability and second or third shift work in a fast-paced convenience setting.

You will lead team members, manage cash handling, assist customers, and uphold inventory, merchandising and cleanliness standards to ensure a high-energy store experience.

Qualifications

• Open availability including weekends and holidays.
• Must have a valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance.
• Physical tasks include cleaning restrooms, taking out trash and maintaining outside areas.
• Minimum age requirement is 21+ years.
• Excellent English communication and basic math skills required.
• Willingness to learn on the job.
• Food Safety Certification must be obtained or available to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Assist in hiring, training and leading a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering and merchandising to keep stock full.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store and restrooms.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team.
• Other duties as assigned.
