Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations, training crew and carhops, and ensuring food quality in a clean, safe environment. You’ll help deliver an enjoyable guest experience and coordinate shift coverage and standards.

Ideal candidates have 6 months of restaurant management or 1 year of entry-level retail management, strong communication, basic math and computer skills, and a willingness to work irregular hours and

Qualifications

• 6 months of restaurant management experience or 1 year entry-level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy; multi-tasking.
• Maintain Sonic appearance standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to ensure food service meets standards.
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost; completes weekly inventory.
• Assists in administrative duties and documentation.
• Reinforces customer service mentality and guest satisfaction.
• Responds to guest requests and resolves complaints with supervisor support.
