Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in operating a drive-in restaurant. You will train and support team members, ensure quality food, cleanliness, and a safe, efficient dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling, inventory control, and handling guest requests. The role emphasizes leadership, guest satisfaction, and adherence to Sonic standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant management (QSR) or 1 year entry-level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to ensure food service meets standards.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties and monitors staffing, inventory and food cost control.
• Completes weekly inventory and assists with administrative duties including maintaining files and records.
