Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Kansas seeks an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations and to train and coach team members to deliver quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner. You will open/close shifts, manage staffing and inventory, and address guest requests to ensure a positive guest experience.

This role requires flexible hours, strong leadership, and a commitment to appearance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy.
• Willingness to abide by the appearance and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team/Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs drive-in staff to meet operational standards.
• Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost control.
• Performs opening/closing duties.
• Reinforces customer service mindset and handles guest requests.
